Cinnamon Fig Rooibos (52teas)
Fig is a tremendously underrated fruit. Aside from Fig Newtons there aren’t many people here in the ‘States’ who consume this fruit frequently. This Cinnamon Fig Rooibos from 52teas is light but flavorful and an every day quality tea if you ask me.

*Flavor, Aroma, Boldness |
The loose tea appears with large fig chunks blended with powdered cinnamon and red rooibos to make a very Autumnal colored blend. The dry aroma is a wonderfully light spiced but sweetened scent with fig overtones.
Brewed this tea provides a much spicer aroma more akin to an apple cider than to a tea. The liquor brews to a wonderfully deep red.
The flavor profile is like a lightly spiced, still sweet cider. The fig comes nicely here, but lighter after each brew. You’ll get at best three before most of your flavor is gone.
This tea isn’t particulalry bold. The sweet rooibos cancells out most of the cinnamon’s heavy spice and the fig is a perfect pairing, making for a brew that’s remarkably easy to drink.
I can see this easily becoming an every day tea for me. I recommend anyone who enjoys figs to try this one. You won’t regret it. Everyone else should give it a try as well.
