Jasmine Green (Andrews & Dunham)
I have really grown to enjoy a nice, aromatic floral tea now and again. The steady favorite has been the Jasmine family of scented and flavored green teas. This Jasmine Green tea from Andrews & Dunham Damn Fine Tea is quite possibly one of the best I’ve had.

Andrews & Dunham churns out some really stellar teas. They seem to do this by offering small “Series” of teas. Typically two or three teas per series. You don’t by just one tea, you buy the series as a release and get each of them for a single price.
This Jasmine Green comes from A&D’s Series 3 releases which are still available at the time of this review.
The leaves are very nice. Very aromatic 3/4in to 1in long twine-like twisted leaves are blended with just a few small pieces of Jasmine blossoms for a pretty nice blend that appeals to multiple senses.
Once brewed the liquor turns out a nice light caramel-gold. The aroma is strongly of the Jasmine with hints at a nice nectar sweetness.
That sweetness doesn’t show through in the flavor though, as this Jasmine Green is fairly astringent with a long tail to boot. A long sip does allow the brew to soften on the palate though, so I recommend taking your time with this one.
If you like floral teas, Jasmine teas or teas which can be brewed many times, this infusion is for you!
