The Green Tea Ginseng blend has a pleasing honey-gold color to it clearly seen through the bottle. I felt it calling to me… asking me to drink it.
Once the bottle was open I clearly caught the lightly sweet notes of Ginseng in the aroma. However, there was a decidedly robust tone of vegetal almost spinachy strong Japanese green tea in this aroma as well. Surprising to me at the time, but not altogether unexpected.
This brew is not particularly bold, but it is slightly bitter. I would almost compare it to the sour pucker of a pear. The ginseng offers a clearly sweet balance to the mildly strong green tea used here.
I would recommend this tea to fans of Sencha, Bancha or a clean Gyokuro. The vegetal flavors will please your palate and the ginseng with offer a sweet refresher for every tastebud. Savor each sip.
