Melchfest

Welcome to Melchfest!!! I showed up around 10:55 or so last night. Quite a bit later than I’d desired. I was only there for about an hour and a half before everyone dispersed. I am excited to see Melchers moving on to something bigger and better for himself and Jill. Had some drinks, some jokes, and lots of fun!

The stop I made over to Aretha’s last night turned out pretty fun as well. We ended up watching “Spirited Away” by Hayao Miyazaki. One of the best Anime directors ever!!! PRAISE HIM!!! I fixed her PowerBook and got it all working again. It turns out that Mac OS X 10.4.4 killed the BlueTooth compatibility with her Logitech X900 wireless mouse. She had to reconnect with the mouse manually each time she booted (and she always shuts down when she’s not using the machine).

I took LOADS of photos yesterday. Some of my favorite shots weren’t the most exciting. The most exciting were the ones I got to take in Great American Ballpark. I forget the name of the gentleman in Red’s management who granted me permission... but THANK YOU!!! It was a blast! I’ll try again when the season comes around to try and get on the field for some great shots during a game!

The Exposés I plan on doing soon will be pretty good I hope. I’ve already started working through the restaurants and so forth. They’re coming along pretty well.

I think I’ll be outgrowing iWeb pretty quickly. The multiple sections of this site are already beyond iWeb’s capacity in features. However, I like the simplicity of the application. I already know that I like the abilities of RapidWeaver, and have been tempted on occasion to purchase a license for it. However, I also want to give Sandvox by Karelia a run and see if I like it better. It seems I like Apple’s designed themes better than the themes for the other tools around, but iWeb is much more limited than the others are. Sigh. -_-
