My 2024 Reading List
Introduction
With the Thanksgiving holiday behind us in the US, it's time for me to post my reading list for the upcoming year.
If you're unfamiliar with past reading lists, here's how things work. The weekend after Thanksgiving, I select a series of topics I want to learn more about in the upcoming year. I will research top titles and upcoming releases within those topics and select a series of books to contribute to my learning.
Throughout the titled year, I will update the post with a paragraph or so on my thinking around a particular title. I may also post more in-depth reviews of books I have found particularly interesting.
Because I know some great people who read great books, I also leave room to insert titles based on recommendations from others. In the past, this has resulted in some high-quality learning as well.
TL;DR - 2024 Topics
For those who dislike reading lengthy posts, here's the short list of topics for 2024.
- Climate Change and Circular Economies
- Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion
- The intersection of Civic Policy & Technology
- Urban Planning & Design
- Usability (mostly surrounding special audience needs)
- Video Game Design & Development
I reserve the right to adjust this list and add/change topics as I see fit.
