Shinya is our resident aloof grumbler. Everything is inconvenient. But, he knows his stuff, and you can depend on him when it counts.

Shinya arrived last school year. He joined the club immediately. He knows an awful lot about trees, just by looking at them. But you'd never know it, because he only speaks up when someone is very wrong in their assessment. And he's tired, of being the only one who knows things.

Yoshizawa-san has a lot to him for being just 16 years old. At 5'7" he's the tallest student in the club and only second to Kikuchi sensei in that regard. His slender frame belies his toned physique. Don't underestimate his strength. On more than a few occasions he has kept the group from losing battles by leveraging his cunning and knowledge.

Shinya is nonetheless a mystery. Actually, he's a mystery's mystery. How does he know so much arboreal information? Why did he join the club? Where did he come from? Why is he so cranky?

Whatever reasons he has for being here, he's annoyed by all of it. Kikuchi sensei says he needs to be in the club. There must be a reason right?
