Toffee Almond Supreme (Tea Source)
Friday is Black Tea, Floral Tea, Fruit Tea, Chai and Pu’erh Review Day!
Some people are tea purists, relying on the tea plant as their only source of “true” tea. Sadly, they’re cutting out an entire world of rich, delicious tea flavors with which they could satiate their palette with. The Tea Source offers quite a few decent blends and tisanes which I’ve found both appealing and flavorful.

The Toffee Almond Supreme was pointed out to me by a friend I met on LinkedIn which happened to be a member of a tea enthusiast group.
I had been looking for teas which coffee drinkers might find appealing. Well, I found one! Toffee Almond Supreme has the kind of robust flavor, but light aroma many coffee drinkers have come to enjoy. However, don’t take that to mean it’s not a desirable tea. This blend is uniquely suited to bridge the chasm sometimes awkwardly placed between a tea drinker and their coffee drinking co-worker or family member.
Tea Source’s blend provides an easily drinkable black tea which isn’t too harsh on the tongue. The tail of this tea is light, not too bitter. I wouldn’t mind the blend being a bit more aromatic, as it’s scent isn’t quite powerful enough to smell from the entry of my cube at work, but it’s soft on the nostrils which is always appreciated.
I don’t think I can personally pick up the hint of calendula petals and I’m not sure I would categorize the blend as ‘dark’, but the brand’s description of this tea as smooth, rich and sweet is spot on.
I would definitely recommend this blend to someone looking to drop or lessen their coffee habit, or if you’re looking to aid someone in doing so.
